Creative Spaces 2020 – Project Team Statement
As of March 2020, and after 16 years of successful competition, a decision has been taken by the organisers, for a number of reasons, to bring Creative Spaces to an end. It is worth pointing out that the decision had nothing to do with the Covid-19 outbreak and that this website has not been updated since the end of the 2019 event. In addition, there will be no further updates.
The project team would like to thank everyone who has assisted in any way with the preparation, organisation and management of an event that has meant so much to so many people and particular the 1100 plus S2 school pupils, from principally four local authority councils who have taken part.
We would like to think that we have contributed positively to the education of not only the competing pupils, but also their teachers and that the event has been a catalyst to encouraging much greater interest in architecture and design and the built environment in many Scottish schools.
The extensive information held on this website has been creatively prepared by the project team for the benefit of pupils and their teachers. Although Creative Spaces has run its course, the material is freely available to all now and in the future, on the strict understanding that it is used for the purposes for which it is intended and nothing else.
